Ethosure – Website Terms of Use & Content Disclaimer

Effective date: [July 4, 2026]
Last updated: [July 4, 2026]

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Ethosure website, including all articles, guides, diagrams, whitepapers, cost estimates, and other materials published on it (collectively, the “Content”). By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website.

In these Terms, “Ethosure,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to [13918351 Canada Inc. d/b/a Ethosure], its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates. “You” and “your” refer to the person or organization accessing the website.

1. Informational Purpose Only

The Content is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It describes AI governance concepts, software capabilities, industry trends, and regulatory topics at a high level and in plain language. It is not, and must not be relied upon as, a substitute for professional advice.

Nothing on this website constitutes legal advice, and no attorney–client, solicitor–client, or other professional relationship is created by your use of it.

The Content frequently references laws, regulations, and standards – including but not limited to the EU AI Act, the U.S. NIST AI Risk Management Framework, ISO/IEC 42001, Canadian requirements administered by OSFI and FINTRAC, PIPEDA, and other data-protection and financial-services regimes. Any such references are simplified summaries offered for general understanding. They may be incomplete, may not reflect the most current legal developments, and may not apply to your specific circumstances or jurisdiction.

Laws and regulations differ by jurisdiction and change over time. You should consult a qualified lawyer licensed in your jurisdiction before making any decision that has legal consequences. Do not act, or refrain from acting, on the basis of any Content without obtaining independent legal advice appropriate to your situation.

3. Not Compliance, Regulatory, Financial, Accounting, Tax, or Other Professional Advice

The Content is not compliance, regulatory, audit, risk-management, financial, investment, accounting, tax, security, or engineering advice. Statements about how Ethosure or the underlying software may support compliance with, or mapping to, any law, regulation, framework, or standard are descriptive and aspirational, not a guarantee.

Using Ethosure or any product, tool, or approach described on this website does not guarantee compliance with any legal, regulatory, contractual, or industry requirement, and does not guarantee that any audit, examination, certification, or regulatory review will be passed. Responsibility for determining and meeting your own legal and compliance obligations rests solely with you and your professional advisors.

4. No Guarantee of Results; Illustrative Estimates

Certain Content includes estimates, projections, ballpark figures, sample calculations, and forward-looking statements – for example, potential cost savings, token-usage reductions, timelines, market sizing, or the pace of AI-agent adoption. These are illustrative only, based on assumptions that may not hold in your environment, and are not promises, warranties, or guarantees of any particular outcome, saving, performance level, or result.

Actual results will vary based on factors outside our control. Nothing on this website should be treated as a projection or guarantee of financial performance, cost savings, security outcomes, or return on investment.

5. No Warranty on Technical and Security Descriptions

Descriptions of software architecture, enforcement behavior, determinism, “fail-closed” design, sandboxing, evidence ledgers, and similar technical characteristics describe design intent and general functionality. They are not a warranty that the software is error-free, secure against all threats, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. No software eliminates all risk. You are responsible for independently evaluating, testing, and validating any technology before relying on it.

6. Third-Party Content, Standards, and References

The Content refers to third-party organizations, open-source projects (including the coding-ethos project), research firms, regulatory bodies, standards (such as SARIF, MCP, SBOMs, and the OpenSSF Best Practices badge), and market data. Such references are for informational purposes and do not imply endorsement, affiliation, sponsorship, or partnership unless expressly stated. Trademarks, service marks, and trade names referenced belong to their respective owners.

We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any third-party content, source, or website linked to or cited from this website.

7. Accuracy, Currency, and Changes

We aim to keep the Content accurate but make no representation or warranty that it is complete, current, or free from error. The Content – including regulatory summaries and market figures – may become out of date. We may add to, change, suspend, or remove any Content at any time without notice, and we are under no obligation to update it.

8. Forward-Looking Statements

Some Content contains forward-looking statements about future events, market conditions, regulatory developments, product plans, and the adoption of AI systems. These statements reflect current views and assumptions, involve known and unknown risks and uncertainties, and are not guarantees of future outcomes. Actual events and results may differ materially. We undertake no obligation to update forward-looking statements.

9. No Reliance; Your Responsibility

You assume full responsibility for any decision or action taken based on the Content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree that you will not rely on the Content as the sole basis for any legal, compliance, financial, security, procurement, or business decision, and that you will seek appropriate independent professional advice.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the website and all Content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that it is free of viruses or other harmful components.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Ethosure or its owners, officers, employees, contractors, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, savings, or business opportunities, arising out of or relating to your access to or use of (or inability to use) the website or Content, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the website or Content will not exceed one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities, so some of the above exclusions and limitations may not apply to you. In those cases, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ethosure and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your misuse of the website or Content, your violation of these Terms, or your reliance on the Content in a manner inconsistent with these Terms.

13. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise noted, the Content is owned by or licensed to Ethosure and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You may view and share the Content for personal, non-commercial, informational purposes with attribution. You may not reproduce, republish, sell, or create derivative works from the Content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission. Certain images may be licensed from third parties under their own terms.

14. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the website to violate any law; infringe any third party’s rights; introduce malware or attempt to gain unauthorized access; interfere with the website’s operation; or scrape, harvest, or misrepresent the Content in a misleading way.

15. No Confidential or Sensitive Information

Do not send us confidential, privileged, or sensitive information through this website (including through any contact or waitlist form). Any unsolicited information you send is not treated as confidential, and sending it does not create any professional or contractual relationship.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in British Columbia, Canada for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the website, subject to any mandatory rights you may have under the laws of your place of residence.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this website. Changes take effect when posted. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

18. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Ethosure regarding the website and supersede any prior understandings.
