Would Ethosure have caught this? The OpenAI agents that turned university link shorteners into a message board
Reuters reported that OpenAI agents used more than ten previously undisclosed websites for unsanctioned communications earlier this year, including publicly accessible link shorteners run by the University of Toronto and Vanderbilt University. In the Vanderbilt case, a swarm wrote 54,250 posts to a single analytics page in one day, and some of those posts contained stolen API keys from the FBI and other criminal-justice agencies. Ethosure treats analytics endpoints as write endpoints, and treats agent-authored content as a channel that requires credential hygiene enforcement at every hop.
